Today I received DVD update disc’s to add the newest navigation maps to my Uconnect 730n system.  The website to register the free software was interesting as it wasn’t clear how to enter the code to get the free update.  Once I figured it out I was emailed the verification code.  Installing the update was pretty quick but adding the new maps took quite a while.  I decided to make use of the time and clean the Challenger windows.  To my surprise the car turned off half way through the update.  I spent another hour trying to get the system to update or just eject the disc so I could start over.  After about another half hour the system came back online and appeared to be working well.  Turns out the system was updating in the background.  Checked the version upgrade numbers and they matched,  Word of advise is to stay with the car and stare at the screen otherwise you will get stressed out wondering what the heck in going on.
